CAREER RESOURCES
 
Career Portfolio: All GSMS students have an electronic career portfolio. We continue the Bridges career portfolio that our students begin in elementary school extending it through 12th grade. Parents also have access to their child's Bridges Account.
 
Career Lessons: The MS counselors will be in classrooms four times a year delivering Career Lessons. We are looking forward to exploring the world of work with your child!

Career Day: January 17th - School wide assembly and presentations from local community volunteers pertaining to their particular career path.

Bullying- Our district implemented the Second Step Program at the middle level in 2014-15. School wide lessons are implemented. See site link above.

Guidance Clubs and Small Groups - The School Counselors at GSMS hold quarterly clubs based on student/teacher/family needs. These clubs/small groups are designed to promote leadership, diversity, a sense of belonging and improve the school culture. Topics of groups include girls empowerment, ADHD, grief and loss, organization and many others

- Think Positively
- Use time wisely
- Plan time to study every day
- Use your agenda to write down assignments and break down larger projects into smaller pieces
- Plan for deadlines
- Complete all assignments as soon as possible
